Five Fool-proof ways to lighten your mood.

After observing my life and the lives of those around me, I've decided that life can be a big downer and if you're anything like me, life can make you feel like a lying in a gutter, so here are some ways to help you and me get back on that road to feeling like life matters. So here goes nothing...
Procedure #1; Actually FEELING like feeling good.
Okay some of you are saying, this chick's lost her mind, but give me a chance here. Alright I'm sure all of us have had those days where we wake up angry and if you're really honest with yourself, you like being angry because you feel justified at being angry. Well, I've had more than my share of these days, you know, where you don't feel like being happy in fact, happy people aren't exactly on your good list right now. I've found that taking a hot bath after a long day is enough to make Tipper Gore chill.
Procedure #2; Give your mind a break.
I'm the type of person that's probably gonna over-analyze herself into an early grave. I'm not spontaneous, but maybe a little spontenaity is good in life, clear a day off when a lot of stuff is going on, and get in your car and whatever activity you end up doing is left completely to how you're actually feeling that day, not what you feel a duty to do. Don't think so much, live a little.
Procedure #3; Listen to music.
Okay this procedure not so "profound" huh? Well, sometimes the best things in life are simple. Next time you log on your computer, turn on the radio, or when you're feeling stressed turn on some music to match your mood, for example, a really angry song will actually soothe you if you are REALLY angry. The subconsious of your mind is probably working really hard and you don't even know it. With me, an angry Eminem song helps me feel better, when I'm not my usual cheerful self. Just knowing that someone else in some distant far away time slot, was as angry as I am or shall I say was or will be, soothes me. Seriously, someone feels exactly the same way I do I feel great. Or if you think Eminem is the devil's spawn, I actually love some old Temptations stuff, they help me when I feel sad, most of their music has a sad feeling to it. Or try something different.
Procedure #4; Read A book.
Say that at the current moment your life blows, so leave it to rot all by its lonesome, read a book and live someone else's life, granted it won't solve your problem, but maybe it'll clear your mind and help you think, or hell, maybe it'll just make you feel good for an hour or two. Really depressing books, can have one of two effects, either you get either more depressed, or you say to yourself, could be worse, look at this poor sap in the book.
Procedure #5; Medication.
If all else fails ask your doctor for some Prozac.
